How to Uninstall Antivirus 2010

Antivirus 2010 is a rogue antimalware program that tricks users into buying its full version by displaying fake security alerts on their computers.

Technical Details of Antivirus 2010

  1. Full Name: Antivirus 2010
  2. Type: Rogue spyware program
  3. Origin: www.antivirus2010.com

How Antivirus 2010 Enters Your System

The modus operandi of Antivirus 2010 is similar to that of its predecessors, namely, Antivirus 2008 and Antivirus 2009. Antivirus 2010—just like its previous versions—enters your computer through malware that gets downloaded from websites with fake scanners and via spam e-mail attachments.

How Antivirus 2010 Operates

Just like other fake antimalware programs, Antivirus 2010 configures itself to load automatically when you log in. Antivirus 2010 will run fake system scans and show different types of infections on your system. Antivirus 2010 will not delete the infections that it claims to have found; instead, it will ask you to purchase the full version of the program to eliminate the reported threats.

In addition to showing fake security alerts and messages, Antivirus 2010, from time to time, displays fake Blue Screen of Death. Randomly, Antivirus 2010 creates what looks like a Windows crash, but in reality, it is just a bogus screen. The purpose of the fake Blue Screen of Death is to convince users to buy the full version. In case Antivirus 2010 has stealthily installed itself on your computer and you encounter a fake Blue Screen of Death, simply reboot your computer or try pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del or Alt+Tab to get rid of it.

What You Should Do if Antivirus 2010 is Found on Your Computer

If Antivirus 2010 is present on your computer then immediately get rid of this bogus program. Do not ever buy the full version of this program, which is fake, just like the so-called trial version, and will only cause more trouble.
